INGREDIENTS

6 sheets of puff pastry

1kg mince meat

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 clove of garlic, finely grated

½ cup of grated carrot

1 rasher of bacon, finely chopped

½ cup grated cheese

1 sprig of parsley, chopped

Salt & pepper to season

2 eggs, 1 for meat and 1 for egg wash

METHOD

Preheat oven to 190-200 degrees

Line 2 baking trays with baking paper

Thaw out sheets of pastry and cut in half to get 2 rectangles

Mix all ingredients well with 1 egg to come together

Divide meat mix into 12 and roll each piece into a sausage shape to go towards the bottom of the pastry sheet

Brush the top side with the egg wash to help the roll stick together once you’ve rolled it over

Cut into the lengths you want and place on the baking tray making sure they’re not touching

Brush with the egg wash on top

Cook until gold brown or approx. 20 mins

Rivoli Farm is a fave place for the H&H team, not only because we love every inch of the place, the menagerie of animals, the people who call it home, but also because… the kitchen is magic! Everything that comes out of that door makes our tastebuds dance and our souls warm and fuzzy – we hope you enjoy this recipe too!
